I had the privilege of leading worship with a praise team comprised of musicians from throughout the U.S. We were blessed to serve together and do our part in serving the Nexus community. Our prayer and hope was that somehow through our service that the people of God would be led into a deep place of marvel and awe of God’s wondrous grace.
I am deeply grateful to testify that I was able to witness such powerful worship. These experiences were made possible by the worship life of Chesterbrook United Methodist Church. Over the last several months, I have had the privilege of witnessing our church community worship in a way that deeply encourages my soul. One of the things I look forward to every Sunday is to hear my brothers and sisters at Chesterbrook sing and raise their voices to our Heavenly Father.
My dear Chesterbrook UMC community! You are part of my worship life, and it was extended into the worship life of Nexus this past week. Thank you for being a blessing and inspiration to me.
Jesus tells us that God is Spirit and we are to worship Him in Spirit and in Truth. We look to the Holy Spirit to touch our own hearts and souls, and this happens when we stand upon the truth of the Gospel. God is good. God is great. God is gracious. We know these things because we look upon Jesus. He is the expression of God’s goodness, greatness, and graciousness. That truth intersects our souls, and we become worshippers in Spirit and in Truth. Let us therefore, keep standing on the Truth of the Gospel, and be filled with the Spirit. Let us keep building a worshipful community and let His Gospel reach even further! Amen!
